.US domains are restricted. Neustar, the .US central registry, will delete .US domains that are in violation of their Nexus policies.

In order to register a .US domain, you must be a US resident, US company, or a foreign company with a US presence. You will be asked to fill out your "Intended Usage" and "Registrant Type" when you register your .US domain.

Additionally, Neustar often deletes domains which contain one of the seven dirty words.

Please note that Neustar will not give a refund if your domain is deleted for either violation.
