What is domain forwarding?

Domain forwarding is similar to when a web page redirects a visitor to another website, but instead of using HTML or a script to do the redirection, the domain name itself redirects to the website. When a domain is set to forward visitors to another website, the domain's name does not stay in the web browser's URL bar. Instead, the new page's URL is displayed. If you want to keep the domain's name in the URL bar, you need to use stealth forwarding.

Domain forwarding only affects the domain itself. If you want to set up email forwarding with your domain, that is done separately.

Dynadot provides domain forwarding, stealth forwarding, and email forwarding free of charge when you register or transfer a domain name to us.

Where do I set up domain forwarding?

To set up domain forwarding, you will need to sign into your Dynadot account and manage the DNS settings for a specific domain and select the ‘Forwarding’ setting located in the drop-down menu. For a step-by-step guide, please visit our domain forwarding page.
