What additional information is required to register .CN domains?
CNNIC, the central registry for .CN, no longer requires documentation to register a .CN domain. However, if you want to set name servers for your .CN domain, CNNIC requires that you specify your registrant type as either an Individual or Enterprise.
If you choose Individual, you will need to provide a photo ID for the .CN registry's audit process. The name on the ID must match exactly the name of your default contact record. And please notice that the registry accepts passport only for the audit if you are not a Chinese citizen.
If you choose Enterprise, you will need to provide a copy of your Business License for the .CN registry's audit process. They also require that you specify an Industry and Manager's name.
Again, this is only required if you want your .CN domain to resolve.
