  • How do I add the carousel background feature to my Website Builder?

    The carousel feature allows you to post various images in the header which will allow you to feature multiple things. This feature is a great way to promote all the amazing things your site has to offer. To get access to this new feature, you must have either a Pro or Business plan. How to add the carousel header background feature: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select the "Website Builder" tab in the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the website builder you want to use. At the top of your page, you will find the header section. If you hover your mouse over it, you will see two options that pop up: header design & header size. Click on the "Header Design" button, then click on "Background". Here you will see three options that you can choose from: image, carousel & video. Click the "Carousel" button and add the pictures you want to show. Click "Save" as well as the "Save" button on the top of the page. You should now see the carousel in your header. To see this live on your website, hit "Publish".   • How do I add a map to my Website Builder?

    To add a Google map to your Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select the "Website Builder" tab in the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the website builder you want to use. Click on the "Add" icon on the left-hand tool bar. Click on and drag the "Map" icon to the place you want it to appear on the page. To add your address, hover over the map and click on the "Settings" icon on the top-right. You will see a place to enter your address as well as adjust the height and zoom of the map. Your changes will save automatically, simply click out of the box and the map will update accordingly. You will need to hit the "Save" button at the top of the website builder to fully save your changes. To move your map, hover over the box and use the "Move" icon that appears in the top-right corner to drag it to a new location.   • I turned my blog comments on. Why aren't they showing?

    If you want to add comments to your Website Builder blog, you need to create an account on Disqus first. Creating an account is free and once you've successfully created your account, you don't need to install any code! Instead, you just need to enter your Disqus shortname in your Website Builder by following these instructions: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Click on the "Website Builder" tab on the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the website builder you want to use. Click on your main "Blog" page. Click on the "Blog Settings" button at the top of the page. Scroll down to the bottom and enter your "Disqus forum shortname" in the space provided. Click "Save" at the top of the page to save your changes. If you go to your website, you should see comments available on the posts where you allow them. By default, each blog post you create will have comments set to "on." You can change your default comment settings from within your Website Builder. You can also adjust the comment settings for an individual blog post.

  • How do I upgrade my Website Builder plan?

    To upgrade your Website Builder plan, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select the "Website Builder" tab in the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the Website Builder you want to upgrade. You can either click on the "Upgrade" button on the bottom left corner or click on the "Settings" icon on the left-hand tool bar. Go to the "Choose Plan" tab. Choose the plan you want by clicking the "Select" button. A new page should load in a new browser window. Follow the "Checkout" buttons to submit your order. NOTE: Each Website Builder upgrade comes with a free domain when you purchase our annual plan.

  • Do you place advertisements on websites using your web hosting or website builder plans?

    No, we do not place any ads or banners on websites that use either our VPS Hosting or Email Hosting plans. We also do not place any ads on any of our Website Builder plans, including our free five page plan. If you are using our free one page hosting available through our name server settings (which may no longer be available in some accounts), then we do place advertisements on your website.

  • How do I receive payments from my sales from my website builder shopping cart?

    First, you need to have a business plan in order to use our shopping cart. We have partnered with Stripe to provide you with an easy way to accept payments. Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select the "Website Builder" tab in the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the website builder you want to use. Click on the "Shopping Cart" (the one that looks like a cart) on the left-hand tool bar. Select the "Payments Tab" and click the blue "connect stripe" button. Enter in all the required information and click the "Authorize access to this account" button on the bottom of the page. (Click the cancel button to go back to your homepage) You are now all set to receive payments.   • How do I delete a page on my Website Builder?

    To delete a page on our Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Click on the "Website Builder" tab on the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the Website Builder you want to use. Click on the "Page" icon (the one that looks like a piece of paper) on the left-hand tool bar. Click on the page that you want to delete (you can delete any page including your home page). Click "Delete Page" at the top. Please make sure you really want to delete the page and that it's the correct page before clicking "Delete Page."   • How do I change the font, color, and size of my website's navigation in your Website Builder?

    Your navigation is located under your website title and lists and links to the other pages on your website. To change the font, size, color, and more of your website's navigation text in our Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Click on the "Website Builder" tab on the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the website builder you want to use. Click on the "Design" icon (the one that looks like a paint brush) on the left-hand tool bar. Under the "Navigation" section of our style editor, you'll see both "Links" and "Link Active." Editing "Links" will make changes to your entire navigation, while editing "Link Active" will make changes to which ever page the user is currently on - the active page (only the color can be changed for an active link). Click on "Links" and our editor will allow you to change the text color, font, size, weight (light, normal, bold), style (normal, italic, oblique), decoration (normal, underlined), letter spacing, and allow you to easily "transform" your text into all uppercase, all lowercase, and all first letter capitalization. If you want to set your active link to another color to make it stand out, click on "Link Active" and set the color you want. With both editors, you should see your changes show as you make them.   • How do I link an image on your Website Builder?

    Linking an image on our Website Builder is easy! To link an image, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Click on the "Website Builder" tab on the main menu. Click on the "Edit" link next to the Website Builder you want to use. Choose the page you want to add the image to. If you're adding a new image, click the "Add" section of the tool bar (icon looks like a plus sign). Next, click and drag the "Image" icon to the location you want the image to go. Once you've placed the image icon, a box will pop up asking you to upload an image. It will also have a place for image alt text and a link. Enter the full link and click "Save." For an existing image, click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the image, and the same pop up will appear. Click "Save" when you have added the full link. Then, click "Save" at the top left of the page to fully save your changes.

  • How do I view or edit my blog's advanced settings?

    Creating a blog is easy with our Website Builder. To customize the look of your blog, you will need to edit your advanced settings. To do so, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select the "Website Builder" tab in the main menu. Click on the "edit" link next to the Website Builder you want to access. A new page should load in a new browser tab. Click on the "Page" icon on the left-hand tool bar. Select your blog page. You can make the changes you want here. NOTE: Options with a green star are features only available to the Website Builder Pro & Business packages. Upgrade to access these features.
