  • What adult domain extensions do you support?

  • How do I find out what domain sales and coupons Dynadot has available?

    Dynadot always has domain sales and we also sometimes offer coupon codes that can help you save money on your next purchase with us! Our sales and coupon information is sent out monthly via our newsletter (along with other exciting announcements) - subscribe now! In addition, there are several places where we post this information: We post our monthly sales and coupon list in the Sales & Coupons section of our articles. We also have a Sales & Coupons blog category where we post information about, you guessed it, sales and coupons! You can find even more info, including last minute fun sales and coupons, on our social media pages: Facebook, Twitter, and Google+! Lastly, we have a domain sales carousel that scrolls through all of our domain sales on our homepage and on most of our TLD pages (this will only list sales, not coupons).

  • How do I access the IP lookup tool?

    To do an IP lookup, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Access the "Quick Info" menu for the domain you want to check. Click on the "ip lookup" link. This will pop up another window stating the IP status of your domain.

  • How do I set up Afternic?

    Afternic is one of our domain marketplace partners. If your domain has not been added to Afternic yet, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Afternic account. Go to "Sell Domains," then "Add Domains to Sell." Enter your domain(s) in the text area and click "Continue to Step 2". For the "Promotion Level", choose "DLS Premium". Enter the selling price for the domain and click "Continue to Step 3". Click on the "Finished" button. NOTE: It may take a few days for your domain to be active in Afternic DLS. To confirm on the Dynadot side, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Check the box next to the domain name(s) requiring confirmation. Click on the "Set Afternic" icon. Select "Confirm Afternic" from the drop-down list. Click on the "Save Settings" button. NOTE: You will not be able to list domains registered with us until they qualify for transfer. Domains registered or transferred in the last 60 days will not qualify.

  • Do I get a discount if I buy domain names in bulk?

    Yes! Dynadot offers discounted domain pricing when you spend more than $500 with us per year. We have two levels of discounted pricing that you can qualify for: Bulk Domain Pricing: $500+ spending per year Super Bulk Domain Pricing: $5000+ spending per year Once you reach $500+ or $5000+ in spending, your account will automatically receive our discounted domain pricing. If you want to receive our discounted domain pricing immediately, you can do so by prepaying into your account the amount you need to reach your preferred spending level.

  • How do I change my privacy to hide my name?

    We recently added the ability to hide your name (in addition to email, phone, and address) in our domain privacy service. Although new registrations with privacy will automatically default to full privacy, registrations that had privacy before the new privacy was added are set to partial privacy (meaning the name is not private). To change your domain privacy to full, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Check the box next to the domain name(s) you wish to change to full privacy. Hover over the "Privacy" icon and select "Set Privacy". Choose "Full" as the privacy status in the drop-down menu. Click on the "Submit" button to save your changes. NOTE: It may take a few days for the Whois database to be updated to your altered Whois information.

  • What is a reserved domain name?

    Reserved domain names are domain names that the central registry has held back from general registration. This means that they are not available to register. The reason for this can vary. In some cases, certain domains may be held back due to potential "name collisions." Often, registries will decide to not release one and two character domain names. And sometimes registries will hold back certain domain names they consider valuable. For example, the .ME registry has held back certain premium domain names that you can only register by application. Please note that sometimes registries decide to release previously reserved domain names. Generally when this is done, the reserved domain names are considered premium by the registry and sold at a higher price.

  • How do I change my domain privacy in bulk?

    We recently added the ability to hide your name (in addition to email, phone, and address) in our domain privacy service. Although new registrations with privacy will automatically default to full privacy, registrations that had privacy before the new privacy was added are set to partial privacy (meaning the name is not private). To change your domain privacy in bulk, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Check the boxes next to the domain names for which you wish to adjust privacy. To select all your domains, check the box at the top of the frame. Hover over the "Privacy" icon and select "Set Privacy". Choose your desired privacy status in the drop-down menu. Click on the "Submit" button to save your changes. Please keep in mind that it may take a few days for Whois database to be updated to your altered Whois contacts. If you do not yet have privacy, and would like to add it for your domains, please refer to our help file on how to add domain privacy in bulk.

  • How do I transfer my domain to Dynadot?

    Thanks for choosing us! To transfer your domain to Dynadot, please follow these steps: Before You Begin Your domain cannot be transferred if it has been registered or transferred within the last 60 days. We recommend starting your domain transfer at least 2 weeks before the domain's expiration date. More Info Make sure your Whois email address is accessible as that is the email we will use to verify the domain transfer. Unlock your domain and get your authorization code from your old registrar. Start Your Transfer Visit our domain transfer page or our bulk domain transfer page to get started. Enter the domain you'd like to transfer and its auth code. Click to add domain privacy if you want it. Click "Transfer." You should see your domain transfer added to the cart in the upper right corner. If you're done shopping, click on the cart to check out. After You Complete Your Transfer Order You will receive a confirmation of your order send to the email address associated with your Dynadot account. Our system will also send a domain transfer authorization email to your domain's Whois email address. Once the transfer has been authorized, you will receive a domain transfer initiated email from us. Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a domain transfer complete as well as an order finished email from us.
