Thanks for choosing us!

To transfer your domain to Dynadot, please follow these steps:

Before You Begin

Please ensure the following requirements are met prior to initiating your domain transfer:
  1. 60-Day Restriction: Domains cannot be transferred if they were registered or transferred within the last 60 days.
  2. Transfer Timing: We recommend initiating the transfer at least 2 weeks before the domain's expiration date. Learn more.
  3. Unlock Your Domain: Unlock your domain and obtain the authorization code (also known as the EPP code) from your current registrar.

Start Your Transfer

  1. Visit our Domain Transfer page or Bulk Domain Transfer page.
  2. Enter the domain name(s) and corresponding authorization code(s).
  3. Click "Transfer".
  4. Your domain(s) will be added to the shopping cart (visible in the upper right corner).
  5. Proceed to checkout when you're ready.

After You Complete Your Transfer Order

  1. You will receive a confirmation of your order send to the email address associated with your Dynadot account.
  2. Once the transfer has been authorized, you will receive a domain transfer initiated email from us. (We can only add the domain to your Dynadot account after your previous registrar release the domain. You may receive an email from your previous registrar with instructions on how to complete the transfer. If so, please respond to their instructions as soon as possible.)
  3. Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a domain transfer complete as well as an order finished email from us.
NOTE
  • Transfer Pricing & Promotions: We recommend reviewing our TLD Transfer Price List and checking our monthly promotions for any available discounts or special offers.
  • Expiration Extension: In most cases, transferring a domain will automatically extend its expiration date by one year. Exceptions may apply, click here for more details.
  • Website/Email Downtime Concerns: Please check here for more information.
