Grace Deletion

Grace deletion, also known as domain tasting, is a process that allows registrants to delete newly registered domain names within a short "grace period" and to receive a partial refund of the registration fee. This feature lets users test domains for potential value, such as verifying traffic or name suitability, before committing to keeping them.

Alternatively, it can also help if the domain is registered with a typo or by mistake. However, not all domain extensions (TLDs) support grace deletion. To see which do and which don't, along with the grace period duration and the associated fee, please check the TLD list you can find on this page. In addition to that, please note that the success of grace deletion is not guaranteed and depends on the Registry.

To request a grace deletion, follow these steps:

Yes, for grace deletion you can select multiple domains at once from the "New Domains" page and submit them together. Regular deletion works differently and must be requested one domain at a time from each domain’s individual page.

If your grace deletion is successful, the funds will be added to your Account Credit. If you would like this Account Credit reversed and a refund issued to your original payment method instead, please contact Dynadot support as soon as possible. Refunds can be issued within 60 days of the payment date.
