How do I check and choose which contact record should be viewable in the public Whois directory?


To check which contact records your domain is using for the Whois directory, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu.
  3. Under the "Domain Name" column, click on your domain name (which should be a link). This should load the "Edit [yourdomain.com]" page.
  4. Find the "Domain Contacts" section. Here you can choose which contact record to display on the Whois directory and check which contact is currently in use.
  5. To change a contact record to a different one, use the drop-down menu and click on the wanted contact record.
  6. Click the "Submit" button to save any changes you have made.

If you need to set more than one domain's Whois information, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu.
  3. Check the box next to the domain name(s) you want to update.
  4. Click the "Contacts" icon towards the top of the page.
  5. Use the drop-down menus to choose the correct contact record you want to use.
  6. Click on the "Submit" button to save your changes.

Once you update your contact records for your domain, it might take a few days for the public Whois directory to update.
