Add on to revenue parking

Currently your system when using revenue parking directs www.yourdomain.ext to an advertising page.

As a thought how about an option where the above happens but a set subdomain and for the sake of it lets call it PUBLIC gets redirected to a particular IP where you could have sub pages hosted. This would allow for a "For Sale Page" or just a general website.

So the option in the parking area of the NameServer Tab would be  something like

No 3rd-party ads.
With 3rd-party ads.
Redirect PUBLIC traffic to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx IP

Email is not being forwarded. (go to email settings)

This should only require the setup script to also setup a DNS entry for a subdomain called PUBLIC with the nominated IP address at the same time it is setting the DNS with the parking details.

I know it would be handy to us and add value to the parking page. This way a domain owner gets revenue off the parking page while doing something with the rest of their site or attempting to sell it. It will also give them the choice of where they wish to host it.

Thoughts???????

So you are saying allow subdomains in the parked domain that can be forwarded or have a for sale page on it? Is that what you mean?

I think someone else asked for that too.

Not a for sale page

What I am suggesting is a single subdomain (standard across all domains - a no option choice) that can be directed to hosting where ever.

Example Domain = abctv.com

If a user types http://abctv.com or http://www.abctv.com it directs to the advertising parking page (the current situation)

However - what I am suggesting is if they type http://public.abctv.com the DNS directs as per normal to the IP address entered. The domain owner could be hosting http://public.abctv.com where ever for whatever - a For Sale page, getting better rankings on Google, a personal site etc etc their choice.

Thank you

I do beleive this will be a really good selling point for DynaDot. I know no other revenue parking site that currently offers a similar service.

Have you decided to do this as it would be fantastic and a great leap forward.

As hekler stated it could be used for domain promotion improving Google Rankings and as a result revenue.

Have you thought of adding 3rd Party advertising support for non supported TLD's such as .AU .NZ etc etc. What I mean is that while we have to keep our domains with a recognised registrar is there away for you to set up a redirection to your revenue pages?

Thanks

The sub-domain add on is still on our request list, though there is no set time frame for implementing it.

I will add ad parking for non-supported TLDS to the feature request list as well.
