How did you find Dynadot?

Hello,

We are planning a marketing campaign. We were wondering how you, our customer, found out about us? Thank you in advance for your responses.

I found Dynadot after an exhaustive search for a replacement for my current registrar. That registrar will go unamed except to say that IMO the owner of that company seems to think that he's an internet icon, the internet's self appointed sherrif, and god's gift to big breasted women.

So I went to namepros and read reviews. That's where I found Dynadot.

It was important for me to get these main features: Domain Name Servers, Domain Forwarding and Auto Renew. Didn't get auto renew but I understand it's in the works.

I've been here only a week but so far I'm impressed. I'm hoping for a nice long run.

Seems like you are a hit with the IDNers.  I thought I'd give it a try.

Needless to say, I find your services highly commendable, and have opted to host two of my sites with you. However, I find that the options for hosting, though fairly inexpensive, does not offer much by way of PHP/MySql, cgi-bin, etc support which I would definitely need for my fourth website (I have an existing website hosted with Registerfly.com... of which I will be transfering also to Dynadot once it expires). Could you perhaps consider offering a higher-end non-static hosting option in the very very near future?

Thanks... and its been a pleasure hosting my domains and websites with ya!!!

Ron

I'd like to thank everyone for their posts so far. They have been very helpful.

We have looked into php and mysql hosting, but we won't be offering it anytime soon.

I found Dynadot through RegistrarStats.com's list of "fastest growing registrars". I did a whois on your domain name to verify that you are your own registrar, and thus that I'd be dealing directly with an ICANN registrar. I love the interface, it's so efficient.

A couple of posts back a Dynadot staff member posted that you won't be offering PHP with MySQL anytime soon. OK, fine, I mean what should I expect for $1 per month?

But how about offering just PHP5? Note that PHP5 comes preinstalled with SQLite.org, and it writes standard UNIX files, right inside of the web space, without the need for a daemon, or all the configuration issues with MySQL. The entire database (definitions, tables, indices, and the data itself) is stored as a single cross-platform file on a host machine. And the file can be copied between Unix/Windows/Mac.

PHP & SQLite is the next killer ap.
