How do I remove Two-Factor Authenticator from my Dynadot account?

Updated: 2026/11/05Viewed times: 80664

Two-Factor Authenticator is a great way to add extra security to your account. If you still have access to Authenticator, follow these steps to disable your Authenticator app verification:

  1. Sign in to your Dynadot account.
  2. Click "My Info" from the left-side menu bar, then click "Security".
  3. Unlock Account.
  4. Locate Authenticator App in the Two-Factor Authentication section.
  5. Click the ellipsis icon (⋮) next to Authenticator App and find "Edit" button. For security concern, you will need to enter password before turning Google Aunthenticator off by clicking "Disable Google Authentication" button.
  6. We recommend relocking your account by clicking "Lock Account Now" at the top of the page when you are done.

However, if you're unable to log into your account because you can't access the token code from your Google Authenticator app, please click the "Lost Cellphone" link to request resetting it.

Note: This will not automatically remove your "Dynadot:username" account from your Google Authenticator app. To remove that, you will need to open the app and click on the pen icon at the top right-hand corner. Then, click on the red minus sign over your "Dynadot:username" account and click "Remove Account" to confirm its removal from the app. Please make sure you have already performed the steps above before removing it from the app.
