How do I set up email forwarding if I’m using DNS?
Actualizado: 2026/03/12Veces visto: 71732
Every domain registered at Dynadot comes with free email forwarding as well as free domain parking, DNS settings, domain forwarding, ownership changes, and our free website builder! Email forwarding allows you to receive email to an address on your domain name, for example, [email protected]. The email is forwarded to an existing email, such as your Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or other email.
To set up email forwarding for your domain whilst using our DNS, please follow these steps:
- Log into your Dynadot account.
- Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Action" button.
- Choose "DNS Settings" from the "Action" list.
- On the DNS Settings page, select "Dynadot DNS" from the drop-down menu.
- Under the "Domain Record" section, select "Email Forward" from the "Record Type" drop-down. (Please make sure to clear your Email Settings first, otherwise an error may occur.)
- Enter the email address you want for your domain email in the "Alias" box (you do not need to enter the full email address such as [email protected], only the "email" part should be entered from this example).
- Enter an existing email address that you want your email forwarded to in the "Email" box.
- Press the "Save Settings" button to save your changes.
NOTE:
- You can specify up to 50 different domain email addresses to have forwarded in the DNS Setting page, while Email Setting page supports up to 10 addresses. If you want to have catch-all email forwarding, enter a * as the alias.
- We will forward up to 500 emails per day for your domain name. Any emails above that limit will not be accepted by our email forwarding server. The email will either bounce or be delayed until you are under your 500 email limit again.
- On the DNS Settings page, each domain email address can only be forwarded to one existing email address. If you'd like to forward the same domain email address to multiple recipients, please check How do I set up email forwarding?
- You can only use our email forwarding when you are using our name servers. If you are using someone else's name servers, you will need to set up your email forwarding settings on those name servers directly.
