Register Your .LT Domain

.LT is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the European country of Lithuania. A .LT domain gives you an identity in Lithuania that goes a long way in establishing trust and credibility in the region. For businesses, a .LT domain can be a great way to open up your site to the Lithuanian market.

.LT domains aren't just for Lithuanians, they're open to everyone! This means you can use the .LT domain ending to create fun domain hacks such as difficu.lt, qui.lt, adu.lt, sa.lt, and more! These domains may already be taken, but if you get creative you can register a fun domain hack for yourself since there are many words that end in lt. You could also use a .LT domain to create a custom short link that compliments your already established website. See our blog post about the benefits of a custom short link and how to get one of your own!

.LT Domain Restrictions

The .LT registry, domreg.lt, requires that a registrant is set when a domain is registered. This registrant cannot be changed later through the Dynadot control panel. Instead, you have to create a "Trade Order" to change the registrant. This order costs the same as registering the domain itself. However, it does change the domain expiration to one year from the trade completion date. To perform a domain trade, first submit the trade request on the .LT registry website. Then on your domain info page in the Dynadot control panel, there is a box named "LT Trade" where you can place a trade order to complete the trade procedure.
