What is this timer about?

Hi I purchased a domain, and in the members area it has a timer on this domain and the hours are counting down etc.
What's this about? I've registered domains etc. from other companies in the past, and have never seen this before?

Anybody tell me? Is there something I should be doing before the timer runs out? I'm not sure if I'll be using this domain before this timer thing runs out?

It is a grace period. You can cancel your domain and get an account credit right up to the time it says 0.00
