Nameservers and cnames

I have recently transferred a domain from another registrar and I intend to transfer another soon.  I would like to be able to manage all aspects of my domains using Dynadot's control panel.

1. Therefore, I wish to use Dynadot's nameservers and not  my previous registrars' nameservers. But what are they?

2. I need to map one of my domains to another site which requires a cname entry.  Please advise how I can do this as I cannot find any reference to 'cnames' in Dynadot's help system.

Our name servers are:
ns1.dynadot.com
ns2.dynadot.com

You should not have to set them directly unless your domain is registered by another registrar.

Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability to edit cname entries at this time.  You may need to use the name server option or Dynadot DNS to do be able to do the mapping but that will require that your web host or your web servers be able to do the mapping themselves.

I will ask my manager to see if he is willing to add a feature that will allow customers to edit cname entries in the future.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

In the meantime I will use advanced DNS services located elsewhere.

We have added the ability to edit cname entries to our to-do list.  We will let you know when this feature is available for use.
