Google Verification & Google Ad Landing Page
8/21/2020 15:52
2 x Questions.
(1) To verify my domain ownership Google says I need to copy/paste the TXT record they supply me into my domain's DNS configuration. How do I do this in my dynadot a/c?
(2) My Google Ad campaign is being Disapproved for the reason "Destination Not Working". The link I supply in my Ad is my dynadot domain <https://tommytrue.com>. I have my dynadot domain forwarded to a sales page <https://tommytrue.hearnow.com/>. Google has given feedback (see below text) for why the destination may not be working. Is there a way I can use my <https://tommytrue.com> dynadot domain in my Google Ad so it's approved by Google and also sends people to the aforementioned sales page?

The below text is a copy/paste of the most recent feedback I've received from Google Ads for why my Ad is being disapproved. I don't really understand the intricacies and I have no access to making changes to the <https://tommytrue.hearnow.com/> sales page so I hope to get dynadot feedback on how my dynadot domain rather than the (longer) sales page URL can be used as the link in the Ad.

I have reviewed your Google Ads account and found that Ads are disapproved under destination not working.

Please check the below steps to resolve the concern, hopefully it may fix the concern you have with your ads.

Check the URL that you entered. Check landing page URLs, keyword URLs, dynamic tracking URLs, and deep link URLs to make sure they are correct and don’t contain typos.
Fix the ad's destination. If the URL that you entered is correct, then it's possible that your site or app isn't working properly. Here are some things to check:

Sites and apps: Your ad can't lead to an app currently under development or a website that returns an invalid HTTP status code. Even if your site loads successfully for you, it might not be loading properly in other circumstances, such as other web browsers and devices, or by the Google Ads system. Your site or app must work properly for all locations, regardless of where you're targeting your ad. Check the ad's destination on various browsers and devices to make sure that it always links to a working website or app. Apps can’t be promoted in places where the application is not available for download.

HTTP response codes: Find out which error is happening on your destination and where it occurs. Note that a specific component on your page (like Javascript) can cause an error. Here are examples of HTTP header tools that can help:

               http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2
               https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3829/ (for Firefox)
               https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

Once you know which code your landing page produces, see a definition and tips to fix each of these HTTP status codes. If you still can't identify the problem with your landing page, contact your webmaster or web hosting provider for help.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter.

Sorry for the wait on this response:
Question 1: This help file will guide you on how to enter in a txt record. https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/create-TXT-record
Question 2: I have checked on your website and it is loading perfectly alright. Google might not be allowing ADS as you are forwarding to your own page on another company's website, You may need to reach out to hearnow.com support and make sure they allow google ADS on your page. Some companies will have that blocked.
