Parking Revenue Survey
8/24/2006 11:45
We are thinking of adding a new parking option that has 3rd party ads on it. Any revenue generated from traffic to your domain would be shared between the customer and Dynadot. The customer would be paid in Dynadot credits, which can be used for any of our services.

We see this as a quick and easy way to monetize a domain. We believe it would appeal to customers who don't have enough domains or time to justify setting up an account with a parking revenue company.

The current parking page would still be available, for those customers that do not want 3rd party ads on their parking page.

What do people think of this idea?

Nice new addition!
I have 3 domains in my Dynadot portfolio, and yesterday, I tried parking one just to see how it looks. But, I see no ads on my domain. I just see this

This domain is parked free, courtesy of Dynadot.com
$7.99 domains, $2.00 privacy, $1.00 hosting, $24.99 ssl certs

at the top of the page. Nothing else. Is this because I'm from India and you don't have any Indian advertisers yet? Hoping to get a reply soon :)

> Say, If customer buy domain thru domain park, how much we get ?

The account credit you earn from revenue parking is based on the revenue generated by your visitors clicking on the displayed ads.  It is not based on customers buying a domain by clicking on the Dynadot link.

Hmm, that is strange.  We have noticed that there is sometimes a delay that takes place while the page is loading.  Have you waited for the page to fully load?  The ads should load on your domain since it does not matter where you are from.  We will look into this and get back to you once we have figured out what is going on.

You can find out how much account credit you have earned by following these steps:

1) Log into your Dynadot account.
2) Click on the "Domains" link in the main menu.
3) Click on the "Revenue Parking" link in the submenu.
4) If you look at the "Revenue Totals" box on the right-hand side, you can see the amount of account credit you've been given along with the amount of account credit that is pending.  The pending account credit will be paid out once a month.

Oh! I'm so sorry! I just read your reply and wanted to post a screenshot of the domain. I figured when I was removing the unwanted things from the screenshot that the "Adblock" extension of my Firefox was blocking all the ads! I disabled it and now all the ads are being showed properly! Thanks :)

I have another question, I'm sorry if this has already been asked. Is there any way to 'optimise' our domains? As in, choose the category to which the ads belong?

Thanks!

Thank you for your post.  We're glad to hear that it was the "Adblock" extension on Firefox that was preventing the ads from being displayed rather than a bug we have in our system.

At the moment, there is no way to optimize your domains manually though the ads page will optimize itself depending on what your visitors click on.  We may change this in the future.

Hello,

I have several domains, but only four of them are to be seen in revenueparking.

1/How can I revenue parking for all my other names?
What should I do to all the other names to get revenue parking ?

2/But if I look to the overview I of my domain names under the names it is stated "revenue parking", but nog  in the list of "revenue parking, there I can only find 4.

3/How much money  is the pay per click ?

4/How quickly is the money of the revenue added to my balance ?

It appears that all of your domains are already set to our revenue parking service.  The reason why they may not appear on your Revenue Parking statistics is because no one has visited them.

I do not know how much money is paid per click.  It tends to vary.

Revenue earned through our revenue parking service is paid out (as account credit) once every month.  If you wish to use a different company's parking service, then you will need to contact them.  Usually they give you two name servers to use.  To set your domain's name servers, please follow these steps:

How do I set my name servers for my domain?
