Get to know Dynadot's new Marketing intern from A to .XYZ!
My name is Anne and I am a Torontonian currently spending my days as a Marketing intern at Dynadot’s Canadian office in Toronto.
It's April Fools’ Day today, and while April 1 has always been the perfect day to play jokes on people and display youthful silly behaviour amongst one another, it really isn’t the best day to announce sales. Yet here I am, eager to tell you that our $1.99 .XYZ domain sale is happening now! Even Google got on the .XYZ bandwagon, so why shouldn’t you!?
Ok, so aside from letting you know about our domain sale, I really just wanted to write this post to introduce myself to everyone here. Now since it is April Fools’ Day and all, I feel it’s only appropriate to do this in a tad playful way - which really suits my personality too, so yay!
All you have to do is read through the following 3 statements and just make a random guess to determine whether the statement is TRUE or FALSE.
Yes, the answers are below, but let’s try not to cheat...where would the fun be in that? ;p
A) Being born in Sri-Lanka (an island full of beautiful beaches), I can’t help but LOVE going to the beach! _____
B) I enjoy going to as many music concerts as I can! _____
C) I find it easier to have a real-life conversation (in-person, on phone, etc.) versus having a digital conversation (SMS, E-mail, and other digital communication methods). _____
TIME TO REVEAL THE TRUTHS (OR LIES)...
A) Being born in Sri-Lanka (an island full of beautiful beaches), I can’t help but LOVE going to the beach!
I was born in Sri-Lanka, but ever since I moved to Canada at a young age, I developed an allergy to beach sand. This means I can’t go to any beach that is full of sand, without facing the risk of getting hives on my lower limbs.
B) I enjoy going to as many music concerts as I can!
I have only two favourite music artists that I would even consider buying tickets for and attending a show. However, B2ST (pronounced Beast) hasn't made their way to Toronto (yet!) and ABBA disbanded in 1983...so now you know that I have never been to a concert ;p.
C) I find it easier to have a real-life conversation (in-person, on phone, etc.) versus having a digital conversation (SMS, E-mail, and other digital communication methods).
While I really wish this wasn't the case, I have social anxiety and so conversing through SMS, E-mail, and other forms of digital communication methods freaks me out less. I, of course, still talk to people in-person and on the phone, I just find it easier to communicate digitally. That being said, I still tend to proofread the message many times before actually hitting the ‘send’ button.
Wow! So I didn’t really expect to be this honest but, oh well, transparency is what I am about anyways. I just hope that this post allowed you to get to know me at least a little, and I hope you choose to comment below and reveal some truths (or lies) about yourself!
This is where I say goodbye, but before I do, I just wanted to remind you guys again about
our .XYZ sale, only $1.99 through 04/30/16!
.XYZ is the next .COM, and by jumping on to the .XYZ bandwagon (as mentioned earlier), even Google is aware of that! .XYZ is a global domain that is truly for anyone, anywhere, and for any purpose. With .XYZ, you become a part of the internet community that is evolved and unified - whether you’re from Generation X, Y, or Z!
If you’re hesitating because you’re thinking "it’s April Fools’ and Dynadot wants me to believe that for $1.99, I can get a really cool and unique top-level domain that allows me to connect with a worldwide audience while still letting me be creative and versatile?"...Well, it only takes one click for the truth to be revealed! ;)
