How to set up automatic backorders for domains in watchlist?
Updated: 2026/08/26Viewed times: 41
To enable the auto-backorder feature for watchlist domains, please follow these steps below:
- Sign in to your Dynadot account;
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of the page to be redirected to your account summary page;
- Select "Domain Monitoring" from the left-side menu bar and click "Watchlist" in the drop-down.
- Click "Settings" on the Watchlist page;
- Find the option "Automatically request backorder on watchlist domains." and toggle it on;
- Click "Save Settings".
In the meantime, you can choose to enable or disable auto-backorder for each domain based on your preferences. To do this, simply set the domain to active or inactive. If the domain has moved to the "Backorder" section, you can customize your settings by selecting the domain and clicking the enable/disable auto-backorder request button.
Note
- The backorder request can only be canceled if there are at least 24 hours remaining before the domain's drop time;
- If you're banned from backorders, any automatic request will be prohibited.
