UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) is an ICANN policy used to resolve domain name disputes, typically when a third party claims that a domain:
- Infringes a trademark
- Was registered in bad faith
- Is being used in a way that violates brand rights
UDRP Lock is applied directly to a domain name to:
- Protect the domain during dispute or legal risk periods
- Prevent unauthorized transfers or ownership changes
When a domain is under UDRP Lock, most modification actions are restricted, including:

- Domain deletion requests
Only limited actions are allowed, such as:
