    • How do I access my Advanced Web Hosting cPanel account?

      To access your Advanced Hosting cPanel account, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Hosting” from the left-side menu bar . Click on the "cPanel login" link under the "Edit Site" column. A new page should load in a new browser tab. Please note that we no longer offer our Advanced Hosting product.     • How do I create an add-on domain in my cPanel Advanced Web Hosting plan?

      First, you must set your domain name servers to Advanced Hosting by following these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Bulk Action" button. Choose "DNS Settings" from the "Bulk Action" list. On the DNS page, select the "Dynadot Hosting" setting from the top drop-down menu. Select the "Advanced Hosting" option. Press the "Use Dynadot Hosting" button to save your changes. If your domain is registered elsewhere, please go to your registrar and set the domain to our Advanced Hosting name servers. You may need to allow some time for the change to propagate before moving on to the next steps. Next, you must add your domain in cPanel by following these steps: Sign in to your cPanel account. Click on the "Add-on Domains" button located under the "Domains" section. Enter the domain into the "New Domain Name" box. Under the "Subdomain/FTP Username" box, enter the FTP username. Enter the directory that will contain the add-on domain's files in the "Document Root Field" box. Enter the password for the add-on domain in the "Password" box and then confirm the same password in the box below it. Press the "Add Domain" button to save your changes.     • How can I set up my Advanced Hosting email to work with my iPhone?

      To set up your Advanced Hosting email on your iPhone, please follow these steps: First, retrieve your POP and SMTP settings in your cPanel account. Sign in to your cPanel account. Click on the "Email Accounts" icon under the "Mail" section. Find your email account and select "Configure Email Client" from the "More" drop-down menu. Use the "Non-SSL Settings" information. Next, grab your iPhone. Find and click on the "Settings" app on your iPhone. Click on the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" section and then click on the "Add Account..." button. Scroll down and choose "Other". Under the Mail section, click on the "Add Mail Account" button. Enter the Name, Address, Password, and Description (it should show an example) and then hit the "Next" button. At the very top, make sure you choose the "POP" section. Enter the Incoming Mail Server host name, username, and password. Press the "Save" button. Enter the Outgoing Mail Server host name, username, and password. While your phone lists this information as "Optional", it is needed for your Dynadot email to work. Click on the "Save" button. A pop up window will appear stating "Cannot Verify Server Identity". This is okay, press "Continue". After what will likely be a bit of a wait, your phone may appear frozen, the same window will appear again. Press "Continue" a second time. The window should disappear quickly after this and return you to the page where you began. Send yourself a test email, you should now receive it on your iPhone. NOTE: If a pop-up window appears asking to continue without an SSL certificate, choose "Yes" and it will continue verifying. The pop-up window may come up more than once. Once the settings have finished verifying, you should be able to send an receive email from your iPhone. Please note that we no longer offer our Advanced Hosting product.     • How do I add MX records in my cPanel Advanced Web Hosting plan?

      To add MX records in cPanel, please follow these steps: Sign into your cPanel account. In the "Mail" section, click on the "MX Entry" icon. Select a domain from the drop-down menu. In the "Add New Record" section, set the priority for the new MX entry, keeping in mind that 0 is the highest priority. In the "Destination" text box, type the hostname of the new mail exchanger. This must be a fully qualified domain name, you cannot specify an IP address here. Click on the "Add New Record" button to save your changes. MX Record cPanel Example To delete an MX entry, please follow these steps: Click on the "Delete" button next to the appropriate MX entry. Confirm that the entry should be deleted by clicking the "Delete" button again. You will need to delete the existing MX record before adding your new MX record.       To reset the password for your cPanel account, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Hosting" from the left-side menu bar. Click the "cPanel login" link under the "Edit Site" column. A new page should load in a new web browser window. Click on the 'Reset Password" link. Enter your cPanel username in the "Password Reset" box. Press the "Reset Password" button. You should receive an email from cPanel directly with instructions on how to change your password. NOTE: The cPanel username may not be the same as your Dynadot username. Please note that our Advanced Web Hosting product has been discontinued and can no longer be purchased.     • How do I create a subdomain in my cPanel Advanced Web Hosting plan?

      To create a subdomain in cPanel, please follow these steps: Sign into your cPanel account. Under the "Domains" section, click on the "Subdomain" icon.     • How do I set up Advanced Hosting email to work with my Gmail account?

      To set up your Advanced Hosting email to work with your Gmail account, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Gmail account. Go to Settings and click on Accounts and Import. Click the "Add POP3 Email Account" button. Enter in the email address you'd like to access through Gmail. Google will now ask you for a username/password. The username is your full email address. The password is the password you've set up for your email address. If you'd like to use a secure connection (SSL) for sending and receiving email you'll need to check the box and use the name of the server you are on as the POP server, for example, zucchini.dynadot.com (your server name is listed in the URL when you go to the cPanel login). Then set the port to 995. If you do not want to use SSL, you can put mail.yourdomain for the POP server and use 110 for the port setting. You can select whether or not you'd like to be able to send email from that address once you go to the next step. Then you can choose the name you'd like associated with the email address. You can select Gmail to send email or you can send it through our servers. In either case, the from email address will still show as your domain email. If you choose to send through our servers, you will enter the same information you entered for the POP server earlier. If you are choosing to use SSL for this you will need to enter the name of your server and put the port to 465. If you are not choosing to use SSL, you need to put mail.yourdomain with the port set to 25. You can access manual mail client configuration settings as well as auto-configure settings we have available for Microsoft Outlook Express and the Mac Mail App in your cPanel account. After you complete your set up, Gmail will send you a verification email with a confirmation code you will need to enter. After you enter the confirmation code, you will see your new email listed in the Accounts & Imports section where you can also select whether or not you want to reply from the same address the message was sent to or not.

    • How do I configure a mail client to work with my Advanced Hosting email?

      An email client allows you to access your email account from an application on your computer. cPanel will automatically configure your email client to access your Advanced Hosting email address(es). NOTE: You must already have an email client installed on your computer to automatically configure it using cPanel. To configure your mail client, please follow these steps: Sign into your cPanel account. Click on the "Email Accounts" icon. Under the "Actions" column for each address, you will find a drop-down menu labeled "More". Choose "Configure Email Client" from this menu. Select and download the appropriate configuration file from the list. Run the script file to automatically configure a mail client for the selected address.
