Domain Settings

  • How do I download a list of my domains?

    To download a list of your domains, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Folders" in the drop-down. Your folders will be lsited here. If you do not have any domain folders set up, you can simply select "(no folder)". Click on the "Download" button next to each folder to download your list. The list will be downloaded in a .CSV file format.

  • How do I update my Whois email address?

    You should always keep your Whois email address up-to-date as that is where important emails are often sent including domain transfer authorization emails, SSL approval emails, and more. To update your Whois email address, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Contact Records" in the drop-down. If you have multiple contact records and are not sure which one is being used by a certain domain, click the "Show" link under the "In Use" column to see which domains use each contact record. Click on the link associated with the contact record you wish to edit in the "Name/Email" area. Edit your email as well as any other contact information in the provided form. Press the "Save" button to save your changes. NOTE: If you update a Whois contact record that is being used for a generic top-level domain (gTLD), such as .COM, you will receive a Contact Record Whois Verification email from [email protected] to your Whois registrant email (After you hit "Save Contact," you will see information about whether or not this email has been sent out under the "gTLD Verification" section). You will need click on the link in the email to verify your contact record. Failure to verify your contact record within 15 days will result in the suspension of the domains attached to that contact record (your domains will be set to parking). Once you update your Whois email address, it might take some time for the emails you need to come through.

  • How do I set my domains to "Do Not Renew"?

    Don't want to renew your domain? You can set your domain(s) to "Do Not Renew" in your account by following these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to the domain name(s) you do not want to renew and click on the "Bulk Action" button. Choose "Renew Options" from the "Bulk Action" list. Choose "do not renew" from the drop-down menu. Press the "Save Settings" button to save your changes. NOTE: This setting will stop our system from sending domain expiration reminders via email. Changed your mind? Learn how to renew your domain or restore it.

  • How do I unlock my domain?

    To unlock your domain, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to the domain name(s) you want to unlock. Select "Unlock Domains" from the "Bulk Action" drop-down menu. If your account is locked, you will be prompted to unlock your account before proceeding. Unlocking your account will require you to enter your "Birthday" (as well as a Token Code if you have set up Google Authenticator and/or an SMS Code if you have SMS set up). After entering the necessary information to unlock your account, click the "Unlock Account" button. This will take you back to the "Manage Domains" page where you can make your domain selection(s) again. Click the "Unlock Domains" button to unlock your domain(s). Please submit a "Forgot Birthday" request if you do not remember your "Birthday." Please submit a "Lost Cellphone" request if you have lost your cellphone or cannot access it for Google Authenticator and/or SMS.

  • I do not want to renew my domain. Can you please stop sending me renewal notices?

    If you do not want to renew your domain and would like to disable the renewal notices, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Bulk Action" button. Choose "Renew Options" from the "Bulk Action" list. Select "Do Not Renew" from the drop-down menu. Press the "Save Settings" button to save your changes. You can also choose to delete your domain if you don't want to wait for the expiration.

  • How do I create a smart domain folder?

    Smart folders can help you organize your domains and easily change settings for multiple domains at once. To create a smart folder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Folders" in the drop-down. Click on the "New Folder" button to create a new folder. Enter the folder name in the provided field. Press the "Save Folder" button to create your smart folder. Learn how to add or remove domains to your smart folder, set Whois records, name servers, renew options, and transfer locks.
