    Domain Owner Changes

    • How do I initiate a change ownership request if I am the current owner (Domain Push)?

There are two ways to initiate a free change ownership request depending on if you are the current owner of the domain (who can do a domain push) or the recipient (who can do a domain pull). You only need to push the domain or pull the domain, not both. If you are the owner, there are a few thing you need to do before you start your change ownership domain push order: You should start by asking the recipient of the domain(s) to create a free Dynadot account if they do not already have one. Once the recipient has created a Dynadot account, you will need their forum name (this is different from their username) to then move or "push" the domain into their account. Make sure your domain is not about to expire. After you submit the domain push order, the recipient must accept the move before the domain expires. Otherwise, the domain must be renewed before it can be moved. Before you start the domain push, you will need to unlock the domain(s) you want to push. Once you've unlocked your domain(s) and have the recipient's forum name, you can start the change owner domain push order using the following steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Check the box next to the domain name(s) you want to move. Click on the "Change Acct" icon. Under the "Domain Change Account (Push)" section, enter the recipient's forum name. Click on the "Change Account" button. Follow the "Checkout" buttons to submit your change owner order. An email will be sent to the recipient of the domain(s) asking them to confirm the move. Once the recipient accepts the move, the domain(s) will automatically be pushed from your account to the recipient's account. NOTE: You can only do a bulk change ownership request by doing a domain push, not a domain pull. To do a bulk domain push, simply check off all the domains you would like to push and then follow the same steps above.

    • How can I do a bulk change ownership request?

A bulk change ownership request allows the owner to move multiple domains to another Dynadot account in the same order. Although there are two ways to do a free change ownership request for just one domain - a domain push or a domain pull - only a domain push done by the owner can be used for a bulk change ownership request. Before starting a bulk change ownership domain push: The owner will need to make sure their domains are not about to expire. After the bulk domain push order is submitted, the recipient must accept the move before the domains expire. Otherwise, any domains that have expired will need to be renewed before they can be moved. Domains that did not expire will still be moved into the recipient's account, but the order will likely take longer to complete due to the expiration issues on the other domains. The owner will also need to unlock all of the domains to be pushed. The recipient will need to provide the owner with their forum name, which is different from their username. If they haven't already, the recipient will need to create a free Dynadot account first. Once the owner has confirmed the domains are not about to expire, are unlocked, and they have the recipient's forum name, the owner can submit a bulk change ownership domain push by following these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Manage" from the "Domains" drop-down menu. Check the box next to the domain names you want to move. Click on the "Change Acct" icon. Under the "Domain Change Account (Push)" section, enter the recipient's forum name. Click on the "Change Account" button. Follow the "Checkout" buttons to submit your change owner order. An email will be sent to the recipient of the domains asking them to confirm the move. Once the recipient accepts the move, the domains will automatically be pushed from your account to the recipient's account.

    • How do I change the registrant for my .AT domain?

When you register a .AT domain, you are required to enter a registrant. To change the registrant (owner) of a .AT domain, you can place a .AT domain trade order in your Dynadot account. You will also need to submit a change holder document signed by both the current registrant and new registrant.

    • What is a Change Ownership Request?

A change ownership request is when one or more domains are moved from one Dynadot account to another Dynadot account. This process is offered to all Dynadot customers for free. There are two ways to move the domain between two Dynadot accounts depending on if you are the recipient (known as a domain pull) or owner (known as a domain push) of the domain. If you are looking to move multiple domains at once, this is called a bulk change ownership request and this can only be done by the owner through a domain push. We do not support bulk domain pulls. NOTE: A change ownership request is not a domain transfer. If you need to move a domain to us from another domain registrar, please visit the domain transfer page to initiate a transfer order.

    • How do I initiate a change ownership request if I am the recipient (Domain Pull)?

There are two ways to initiate a free change ownership request depending on if you are the recipient (who can do a domain pull) or the current owner (who can a domain push) of the domain. You only need to push the domain or pull the domain, not both. If you are the recipient, you need to have the owner unlock the domain before you start your change ownership domain push order. You should also have the owner make sure the domain is not about to expire because the after the domain pull order is submitted, the owner must authorize the pull before the domain expires. Otherwise, the domain must be renewed by the owner before it can be moved to your account. Once the owner has made sure the domain is not about to expire and unlocked the domain, you can follow these steps to submit your change ownership domain pull order: Go to our Change Domain Ownership page. Enter the domain name you wish to receive. Click on the "Add to Order" button. Follow the "Checkout" process to submit your order. If you do not already have an existing Dynadot account, the system will prompt you to create a free account while your order is being checked out. Once you have submitted the domain pull order, an email will be sent to the owner of the domain asking them to authorize the move. Once they authorize the move, the domain will automatically be pulled from their account and placed in your account. NOTE: You can only do a bulk change ownership request by having the owner submit a domain push order. There is no way for a recipient to submit a bulk domain pull order.

    • How do I change ownership of a .AM domain?

You cannot use our regular change owner process for a .AM domain. Instead, you must visit dot.am/TransferTrade.pdf to download and fill out the .AM transfer & trade form. Then, you need to submit this form to transfer@registr.am. Please note that you will be required to submit the following supporting documentation along with the form: Letter from the current domain owner indicating the tasks being authorized Individual Owner: Attach a copy of a valid government issued photo ID for validation purposes Owner Organization: The letter should be on company stationery (letterhead) and include a company seal (if available) If you just want to change owners, and are not also moving registrars (transferring), you are doing what the .AM registry calls a "domain trade." Doing a domain trade will reset the domain expiration date to one year from the date of processing of the trade. This form can also be used to transfer your .AM domain.
