  • How do I change the URL of a page on my Website Builder?

A page URL can only be changed if you have upgraded to our Website Builder Pro plan. The way that we set page URLs is by matching the URL to the page title you enter when you create a page. This is the default even if you have an upgraded plan (you just have the opportunity to edit it). Before you edit your page URL, consider whether this will cause any links to this page to break. If you have an upgraded plan, follow these instructions to edit your page URL: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Edit Site" button next to the Website Builder you want to use. Click on the "Page" icon (the one that looks like a piece of paper) on the left-hand tool bar. Click on the page whose URL you'd like to change. Enter your desired new page URL under "URL". Hit "Save" at the top to save your changes. If you have not upgraded, you can consider adding a new page and setting the title to match the URL you want. Then, simply change the page title after you save your new page if you want a different title.

  • How do I change the name of a page on my website in your Website Builder?

To change the name of a page on your website in our Website Builder, follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Edit Site" button next to the Website Builder you want to use. Click on the "Page" icon (the one that looks like a piece of paper) on the left-hand tool bar. Click on the page you'd like to change. The "Navigation Title" is what appears in your navigation and the "Page Title" is what appears at the top of the browser window. If you've upgraded, you can also set a description, the URL for the page, a thumbnail image that will show if a visitor shares your page on social sites like Facebook, prevent search engines from indexing your page, and disable the page, which allows you to edit it without publishing it. Hit "Save" at the top to save your changes. Note: Changing the title of the page will not change the URL unless you have upgraded your Website Builder to unlock that feature. However, if you want your page's URL to match the name on the page, you can simply create a new page and it will set your URL to match your page name. (If you use multiple words in your title, it will put dashes between each word.) Doing this may require you to delete a page as you are limited to one free page.

  • What is a product page within your Website Builder?

Our Website Builder offers three different page types and "product" is one. The product page is only available with our Pro Plan, which includes our e-commerce shopping cart. The product page is specially set up to feature your online store's products. This is the only page that can show products for sale in your store. How do I add pages to my Website Builder? How do I choose what page a product will show on from within your Website Builder shopping cart system?

  • Can I change my page's type after it's been created in your Website Builder?

No, once you have created a page, you cannot change the type of page it is within our Website Builder. You will need to add a new page and select the type that you want the page to be. We have three types to choose from: Page: "Page" is our general option. This is the type to select if you don't want your page to be set up for blog posts or product listings. Blog: The "Blog" page type is only available with our Website Builder Pro plan. "Blog" will automatically set up your page to host blog posts. When you set your page type to blog, you are given special setting options such as the number of posts per page, the ability to turn comments on or off, and, importantly, the ability to add blog entries to the page. Product: The "Product" page type is only available with our Website Builder Pro plan. This page type is the only page type that supports products for our shopping cart.
