Introduction

• How do I connect my domain with my Website Builder?

  To connect a domain to your Website Builder, the domain must be in the same Dynadot account as the Website Builder you want to connect to it. If this is the case, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click "Add New Website" button on the upper right of the page. Search for a domain or link an existing domain. If linking an existing domain, skip to step 6. Complete the new registration order, go back and choose "link an existing domain". Enter the domain name, choose free plan and click "Start Website". A free website builder plan will be created and you could click on "Edit Site" button next to it. Consider upgrading to the Pro plan for additional tools and features. Choose Pro plan and complete the upgrade order in your cart. (The price based on the remaining days of your domain.) Start editing your website builder plan. If you prefer to start from the domain details page, follow the steps here: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Click on the domain name link you want to use. In the new page, find "Start Your free website". Click on "Edit Site" button for free plan or Click on "upgrade" then find upgrade order in the cart. Complete the order and start editing your website. NOTE: Please be aware that it may take some time for your settings to propagate. NOTE: Once your domain is connected, it cannot be disconnected. If you want to connect a domain that's at another registrar, you'll need to transfer your domain to your Dynadot account.If you want to connect a domain that's in another Dynadot account to your Website Builder, you'll need to initiate a Change Ownership request to move the domain to the Dynadot account which holds the Website Builder.

• How do I upgrade my Website Builder plan?

  To upgrade your Website Builder plan, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Upgrade" button next to the Website Builder you want to upgrade and it will be added to your shopping cart. Click "View Cart", or the shopping cart icon at the top, to go to your shopping cart. Follow the "Checkout" buttons to submit your order.

• How do I connect my domain with my Website Builder using DNS?

  To connect a domain to your Website Builder, the domain must be in the same Dynadot account as the Website Builder you want to connect to it. If this is the case, please follow these steps to connect your domain to the Website Builder using DNS: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down menu. Check the box next to your domain name(s) and click on the "Action" button. Choose "DNS Settings" from the "Action" list. In the "Domain Record (optional)" section, select "A" from the drop-down menu and then enter "54.177.117.207" in the "IP Address or Target Host" box. For the next line of the "Domain Record (optional)" section, select "A" from the drop-down menu and then enter "54.177.158.246" in the "IP Address or Target Host" box. In the "Subdomain Records (optional)" section, enter "www" as the subdomain, select "A" from the drop-down menu and then enter "50.18.238.17" in the "IP Address or Target Host" box. Press the "Save DNS" button to save your changes. NOTE: Your domain must be linked directly to your Website Builder before you can connect to the Website builder using DNS. Please be aware that it may take some time for your settings to propagate. Your settings should look similar to what is shown below: If you want to connect a domain that is in another Dynadot account to your website builder, you will need to initiate a Change Ownership request to move the domain to the Dynadot account which holds the Website Builder.

• How do I create a new Website Builder?

  To create a new Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Add New Website" button. Either link an existing domain currently in your Dynadot account or search a new domain name. Add to cart and checkout. Upon order completion, you can choose the template you want to use. A new browser tab will load the template. You can now start editing!Please note: A web builder must be connected to your Dynadot domain.

• How do I publish the website I created in your Website Builder?

  Our Website Builder offers you easy-to-use, intuitive tools to create the website of your dreams! Best of all, the first page is completely free!Once you're ready to show your website off to the world, all you need to do to make it accessible to others is publish it. To publish the website you created with our Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Edit Site" button next to the Website Builder you want to publish. Press the "Publish" button on the upper right corner of the page. Each website builder needs to be connected with a domain name in your account.Please note that as you make changes to your website in our Website Builder, you will need hit "publish" to make those changes live on your site. This allows you to make changes without having them immediately show up on your live website.

• What is web hosting?

• How do I give someone access to edit my Website Builder?

  Our Website Builder Pro plan allow you to create a separate log in for someone to edit your website. This is a great tool if you would like a designer or employee to make changes to your site while keeping your personal account information private. To give someone access to edit your Website Builder, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar. Click on the "Edit Site" button next to the website builder you want to use. Click on the "Settings" icon (the one that looks like a gear) on the left-hand tool bar. Next, click on the "User". Create new user and enter the email and password. You can give the link showing on this page (http://yourdomain.xxxx/user/) to the users you want to edit your site. They will need to use their personal email address and password to log in.

• Can I use your Website Builder if I do not own a domain?

  As of Feb 1st, 2023 we do require your free or pro website builder to be linked to an active Dynadot domain.Learn how to connect your domain to your Website Builder.
