How do I add social media links, such as Facebook and Twitter to my Website Builder?
We have an easy way add social media links for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, and Vimeo to your Website Builder. To add these social links, please follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Dynadot account.
- Select "My Websites" from the left-side menu bar.
- Click on the "Edit Site" button next to the website builder you want to use.
- Click on the "Website Builder" option, followed by the "Tools" option on the left-hand tool bar.
- Click on and drag the "Social" icon to the place you want it to appear on the page.
- A window will pop up, allowing you to set "Link" and "Design".
- On the Link page, click the "Add Social Icon" button to view a list of supported icons like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram. You can also use the search box to quickly find the icon you want by entering a keyword;
- Select an icon and you'll see a place to type in the links. Please note that you will need to put in the full link (for example, http://www.facebook.com/dynadot). Alternatively, you can select "upload" to add a custom icon from your computer and set the link.
- Click "Add" and the icon will show up on your site. To add more in this column, simply click "Add Social Icon" button and repeat the last step.
- By selecting "Design", you can custom the size, position, style, target, background, color and border color of the icons;
- Last, please be sure to hit the "Save" button at the upper right of the pop-up window to save your change.
To move your social icons, hover over the box and use the "Move" icon that appears in the top-right corner of the column to drag it to a new location.
To remove or edit the icons, click the icon and you'll be able to edit all the icons in this column on the pop-up window.
-Click the arrow icon on the right, you can edit the link or delete this icon.
-To re-arrange icons, hover over the six dots on the left and drag them to your desired position.
Note:
The icon "Envelope" supports to add an email address as URL using the format "mailto:". (For example, mailto:support@dynadot.com.)
