End of World Weather Forecast

Well folks, I'm sorry to tell you that tomorrow is the end of the world. That's right, tomorrow is 12/21/12, the end of the Mayan calendar (okay, okay so it's actually still 12/19/12 here, but according to the official end of the world countdown the world will end at 11:11 UTC, which means those of us in the PST will only get 3 hours and 11 minutes in to 12/21/12 before the end). The signs have been adding up all year, the biggest sign of course being the death of Twinkies (see below). So I guess this is goodbye. We just want to say that we really appreciate all of our customers, which is why we're going to give you some tips on how to survive what we can only imagine will be a zombie apocalypse this Friday.

Since tomorrow is the end of the world, here at Dynadot, we've been preparing: we built our own shelter, stocked up on plenty of food and water, bought radios and extra batteries, stock piled extra fuel for our cars, and, of course, downloaded all the apps that will help save us from the zombie apocalypse. We've even been consulting with the highest authorities possible to make sure we're ready: each employee has been required to watch non-stop episodes of Doomsday Preppers and Walking Dead and everyone has memorized the Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic booklet. You too can download their booklet, which includes an emergency kit list as well as a possible - and realistic - scenerio of how the zombie pandemic may pan out. Once you think you're as ready as we are, you can check your preparedness by taking the Doomsday Preppers test, which will give you your prepper score (as you can see below we got a perfect score of 100, which is way better than any of those other preppers from the actual show).

Once the zombie apocalypse starts, you should use your bunker to baricade yourself away from the zombies. If you must go out, wear your armor, so it is harder to bite you. We also recommend using the buddy system, so that you and your buddy can watch each other's backs. If you come into contact with a zombie, remember the only way to permanently un-animate a zombie is to destory its brain. You should have some weapons on hand to help you with this - and never underestimate the importance of something that doesn't need to be reloaded. If you become surrounded, try to act like a zombie so you can trick them and get away. Unfortunately, if your buddy is bitten, you must leave them behind, so you can protect yourself and the others in your party.

Always remember!!!

So now that you know how to survive the zombie apocalypse, you can plan on using our holiday code of the day tomorrow (I suppose you could also plan on using it if the apocalypse doesn't happen, but let's face it that's a big if) and celebrate your survival (or the survival of the world, again a big if) with $1 off your order. The code is aptly named WORLDENDS and will only be available on that fateful day, 12/21/12 00:00 PST until 23:59 PST.
