WHOIS Shows a Partner Registrar (First Year Only)

During the first year, the public WHOIS record will display a different registrar than Dynadot. You remain the registrant and maintain full control.

Note: If you renew the domain, it'll transfer to Dynadot and function as a standard Dynadot registration moving forward.

First Year: What You Can and Can't Do

Full Account Control

You can:

  • Set custom name servers
  • Push domains to another Dynadot account
  • List and sell domains on the Dynadot Marketplace

Your new .COM domain will behave normally inside your Dynadot account.

60-Day Renewal Lock

The domains registered using this promotion cannot be renewed within the first 60 days, as renewals will trigger a transfer to Dynadot, and new domains contain the standard 60-day transfer lock.

After 60 days, you may renew and transfer as normal.

No Afternic Fast Transfer or Sedo MLS (First Year)

Due to the domain being initially registered through a partner registrar, it is not eligible for Afternic Fast Transfer or Sedo MLS. Once renewed (and transferred to Dynadot), the domain becomes eligible for these tools.
