Spending quality time with yourself is proven to be very beneficial to your health. 3. Get Outdoors Staying cooped up in your house or office can take a toll on your health, so go outside and soak up some Vitamin D!
Studies show that being outside can improve your mood, reduce anxiety and better your physical health. Simply take a walk, go to a park, or even take a hike. Schedule some time for yourself to explore the scenic nature spots in your area. You can turn your "me time" into an adventure by exploring the great outdoors!
4. Get Your Creative Juices Flowing Use your "me time" to create something beautiful! Take some time every day to learn a new creative skill like knitting, watercoloring, calligraphy, photography or scrapbooking. Exercising your right brain is shown to
reduce stress, decrease negative emotions, and increase and renew brain function. If you create work consistently, you'll soon have a whole portfolio of art as a result of your "me time!" My personal favorite "me time" art activity is calligraphy, which helps me relax and keep my mind at ease!
5. Keep a Journal We have so many thoughts and feelings throughout the day that it can feel overwhelming. Journaling is a great way to express these thoughts freely without judgement.
