As an organization with four offices in three countries, working at Dynadot is truly an international affair. With team members in our home office in San Mateo, two offices in China (Beijing and Zhengzhou) and our newest office in Toronto, Canada, it never ceases to amaze me when I'm working on a project with a colleague half the world away.
This unique working environment has its benefits (different ideas from different people) and its challenges (what time is it over there?), but I wouldn't trade it for anything. In fact, one thing that really brings our team together is how diverse we are. That's why we thought it'd be interesting to profile each office in the organization and highlight the ways in which each team reflects their home base. First up was our
home office. Today we are taking a trip across the world to our office in Zhengzhou, China, where are my customer service colleague Molly Wong will give us the lowdown on her beautiful city.
- Barry Coughlan, Marketing Specialist, Dynadot
Zhengzhou, China
Located in
Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province in China, our office sits in the central area of China mainland. Yellow river flows through this city and provides rich resources generously to the people living here. With the changing seasons, long history and rapid development, this city is growing steadily in its own way.
Our Zhengzhou office was established in 2013. Currently, four departments are set up here to provide better service to our customers. Our Engineering team is responsible for solving our technical questions within the office. The Design team works hard to create a more practical and beautiful website experience for our customers. The Marketing team is working on exploring more resources and trying to expand the business. And the Customer Service team take care of any issues from our lovely customers. We have a comparatively young team here and we are passionate to build our team up.
As the capital city of a province, there are a bunch of chances to taste so much yummy to go on our Monday Lunch is a local restaurant called Shiyu Yard. They have very beautiful rooms. Some of the furniture used to have a very long history. You might be touching a wood door more than 100 years old. Not to mention the dishes, which are delicious. Our team always enjoys a good lunch there.
With flexible working time, good communication with each other and good teamwork, we are able to move quickly as a group and turn suggestions and feedback into action! It’s awesome and we like it.
