Dynadot Domain Renewal Sale - First World Problems Meme

To Renew or Not to Renew, That is the Question...

But you'll want to with our coupons!

Of course if you like your domain and want to keep it, then we obviously recommend renewing - and doing so before the expiration date (although it may be possible to still get your domain back after its expiration date, see our earlier post on the lifecycle of a domain for more on that). If you're on the fence about renewing your domain, here's a little more incentive for you:

COM Domain Renew Coupon
This weekend only 1 year .COM renewals are just $7.99!
Use code: 10YRCOM before 9/9/12 23:59 PDT to take advantage of this great offer!

To take advantage of this great offer, you'll need to log into your Dynadot account. Click on the "domains" tab and check off all of your domains (or just the domains you'd like to renew) and click the renew button to create your order. Once you click through to the payment screen, you can apply the promo code above. If you'd like to renew your domain for more than 1 year, you can change the duration from a drop down menu on the first page of the checkout screen. Please do note that this coupon code is only available for 1 year renewals.

One thing we recommend is setting your domain to auto-renew. Auto-renew ensures that you won't lose your domain because you forgot to renew it. With auto-renew, you can rest easy knowing your domain will be safe and sound in your Dynadot account. All you need to do is select a payment method for your auto-renewed domains, set your renew option to auto-renew, and voila! As long as your payment method is up to date, your domain will automatically renew and you don't have to worry about losing it.

For those of you who decide not to renew a particular domain, you can either ignore our emails (we send out several email reminders starting 60 days out from your expiration date) or you can set your domain to "do not renew." Do not renew will turn off the expiration email notifications and remove your domain from the "Expiring Domains" section of your Account Summary page.

If your domain expires and you missed the chance to renew, you may still be able to restore it for a higher price. You only have a limited amount of time depending on the domain (and not all domains support restoration) to submit a restore order. You'll know which domains are eligible to restore once you log into your Dynadot account and go to "Inactive Domains" under the Domains tab. If there is a check box next to the domain, you can still restore it.
