Reduce Spam Email - Dynadot Domain Privacy

Protect Yourself from Spam
with Dynadot Domain Privacy

No one likes receiving spam emails or junk mail, but it seems like no matter what you do, you just can't get away from it. Here at Dynadot, we offer at least one more way to combat this rampant problem: domain privacy.

If you own a domain, ICANN, the non-profit organization that oversees the Internet, requires that your email address, mailing address, and phone number be made publicly available. This means your personal or business contact information is available for anyone - including spammers - to find via a Whois lookup. The Whois lookup is often used by spammers and junk mailers to create their mailing lists.

For those who want to avoid spam – and having their contact information easily accessible online – Dynadot offers domain privacy, a feature that replaces your contact information with ours, leaving only your name. Your name is listed in the Whois database to protect your ownership of the domain, while the rest of your information including email address, mailing address, and phone number is replaced with ours allowing us to filter any spam email, junk mail, or telemarketing calls your receive. For those messages that are not spam, we forward them on to you via email. This goes for email, letters (we scan them to you), and phone calls (we take a message and email it to you), saving you the hassle of dealing with unwanted messages.

Our domain privacy costs just $2/year and can be easily added to your cart as you check out with your new domain. For domain transfers, you'll need to complete the transfer first, then do a separate transaction to add your domain privacy. You can also add privacy to domains you already own by logging in to your Dynadot account. If you change your mind, you can easily remove your domain privacy in your Dynadot account.

Please note that domain privacy is not available for all TLDs due to central registry restrictions. Those domains include: .AT, .BE, .CN, .DE, .EU, .IM, .IN, .PL, and .US.

For more information and an example of a Whois with Dynadot's domain privacy, visit our domain privacy page.
