- What is the mailing address for mailing money orders?
You can send your money order or cashier's check to: Dynadot Inc PO Box 345 San Mateo, CA 94401 US Make your money order or cashier's check payable to Dynadot Inc. NOTE: You must create an order in your Dynadot account before sending the cashier's check or money order. Please include the order ID number when you send it as well. See all our payment options.
- How do I select my default auto-renew setting?
Setting up default auto-renewals for your domains can ensure you never lose a domain! When auto-renew is set up, our system will take care of the renewal for you 15 days before the domain's expiration date. Choosing this as your default option means that domains added to your account will use this feature. To select auto-renew as your default option, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and select "Manage Domains". Check the box beside the domain(s) you wish to make changes to. From the "Bulk action" menu select "Renew Options". Select the renew options you wish to make and click "Save Settings". You can also select your preferred Auto-Renewal Payment method on this page.
- How do I set my preferred currency?
USD is the default currency for all accounts. If you are planning to use a currency other than USD as your preferred payment method, especially if you are going to use it for your account credit to cover any automatic payments*, you will need to set it up as your preferred currency. To change your preferred currency, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "Account Settings" from the "My Info" drop-down menu. Find the "Account Options" section. You will see "Select Your Currency" listed there. Choose the currency you want to use from the drop-down menu. - How do I pay in Real Brasileiro (BRL)?
To pay in BRL, select "Real Brasileiro BRL (R$)" from the drop-down at the top of our website (you will see other currency options there as well). This will change all of our pricing into BRL. To complete your payment in BRL, you will need to use eCash. After you add your item to your cart, you can select eCash as your payment method. Then, after you hit "Submit Order" on the payment page, we will provide you with a link to complete your payment. Please note that if you do not complete your payment, your status will remain in "Waiting for Payment" and your order will not be able to complete. If you are planning to use BRL as your preferred payment method, especially if you are going to use it for your account credit to cover any automatic payments, you will need to set BRL as your preferred currency in your Dynadot account.
- How do I pay in Canadian Dollars (CAD)?
To pay in CAD, select "Canadian Dollar CAD ($)" from the drop-down at the top of our website (you will see other currency options there as well). This will change all of our pricing into CAD. To complete your payment in CAD, you will need to use PayPal. After you add your item to your cart, you can select PayPal as your payment method. Then, after you hit "Submit Order" on the payment page, we will provide you with a link to PayPal to complete your payment. Please note that if you do not complete your payment, your status will remain in "Waiting for Payment" and your order will not be able to complete. If you are planning to use CAD as your preferred payment method, especially if you are going to use it for your account credit to cover any automatic payments, you will need to set CAD as your preferred currency in your Dynadot account.
- What is account credit and what can it be used for?
Any Dynadot customer can prepay money into their account. This then becomes what we call account credit. Account credit can be used towards any purchase at Dynadot. There are a few reasons why you may want to prepay some account credit into your Dynadot account: Faster processing of orders because it eliminates potential delay from other payment method processing. To reach the required spending of $5 to bid in our Expired Auctions, purchase a domain for sale in our Domain Marketplace, or place a drop catch request in our Domain Backorders. To instantly qualify for our Bulk domain pricing ($500 spending required in the last 365 days). To instanly qualify for our Super bulk domain pricing ($5000 spending required in the last 365 days). - How do I pay in installments?
Dynadot supports installment payment plans for marketplace and auction orders. As a buyer, here's how to select this as an option, depending on where you're purchasing the domain from. For Marketplace Domains:If this option is available for the domain you're interested in purchasing, you'll see the options “Buy Now” or “Pay in Installments”. Click the “Pay in Installments” option. Specify your installment term. For Auction Domains:If this option is available for the domain you're interested in purchasing, you'll see “Installment payment option is available for this auction” on the bidding page. From within your account control panel, click "Aftermarket" in the left-side menu bar. Click "Auction Bids". On the "Auction Bids" screen, click the “Set Installment Plan” option. Specify your installment term. NOTE: You can edit the installment term by following those same steps. In order to use the installment plan for auction domains, you must opt into the installment option before the auction ended. Once the auction ends, this option is no longer available. Any installment terms will also be fixed. For Make Offer Sales: Once both you and the seller have agreed on a price using our Make Offer System, you'll see the options “Buy Now” and “Pay in Installments”. After clicking “Pay in Installments”, specify your installment term. To make manual payment(s) on upcoming installments: From within your account control panel, select "Payments" from the left-side menu bar and click "Installments Due" on the right. Select the domain(s) you would like to make payment on. And click 'Make a payment'. Select the number of payment(s) you would like to make (click 'Select All' if you want to pay the domain in full). Then click 'Send to cart'. Autopay options:For user auctions:Please follow these steps (aftermarket autopay is not applicable for marketplace sales. Please follow the separate steps below for instruction to set autopay for marketplace sales on installment payment plan).NOTE: This must be set prior to the order completing. For marketplace sales: From within your account control panel, select "Payments" from the left-side menu bar and click "Installments Due" on the right. Select the domain you would like to make payment on. Click the payment method tab. Select autopay. Select 'ON' then choose your method. Finally save your method. NOTE: You must agree to the terms of the installment payment in order to proceed in any of the above scenarios. The minimum order cost for installment payments is $100 USD. The minimum number of installments is 2. The maximum number of installments is 12. Your initial payment will include 15% down payment plus the 1st installment. The sale proceeds are credited to the seller as we receive payments from the buyer, typically on a monthly basis, unless the buyer has chosen to pay the remaining sum earlier. Sales are added to the sellers account as Dynadot account credit, but can be paid out on request. Please note: Expired Auction orders have a max installment limit of 10 months. All payments made by the buyer are non-refundable and the seller keeps all proceeds up until this point. For full information, please visit our Installment Payment Plan .
- How do I pay in Mexican Pesos (MXN)?
To pay in MXN, select "Pesos Mexicanos MXN (MX$)" from the drop-down at the top of our website (you will see other currency options there as well). This will change all of our pricing into Pesos. To complete your payment in Pesos, you will need to use PayPal. After you add your item to your cart, you can select PayPal as your payment method. Then, after you hit "Submit Order" on the payment page, we will provide you with a link to PayPal to complete your payment. Please note that if you do not complete your payment, your status will remain in "Waiting for Payment" and your order will not be able to complete. If you are planning to use Pesos as your preferred payment method, especially if you are going to use it for your account credit to cover any automatic payments, you will need to set MXN as your preferred currency in your Dynadot account.
- I have sufficient funds in my PayPal account, but why am I still unable to pay?
We are not sure of the exact reason. Some users have reported that for some PayPal accounts, PayPal has set the spending limit of an account to $0.00 until the account is verified with a credit card or bank account. We recommend contacting PayPal for the exact reason why. Learn more about using PayPal at Dynadot
- Why did I receive a Credit Card Problem email? I called my credit card company and they assured me that the charge went through.
While your credit card company can confirm the charge now, it will not appear on your bill because the charge did not go through on our end. There are a number of reasons why we may not have been able to charge your card: The address you entered for the card does not match up with the billing address of the card. The zip code does not match up. The cvv code you entered for the card does not match up. (This is the three digit code on the back of the card or the four digit code on the front of American Express cards.) Please sign in to your Dynadot account and correct your credit card information. Then try charging your card from within your Dynadot account to see if it goes through. If you wish to use a different credit card instead, you can edit your payment and enter a different credit card or even choose a completely different payment option to pay for your order.
