Domain Settings

  • I am trying to set my name servers, but the page just reloads when I click on it. Why?

If you are trying to access your domain's name server settings and the page is simply reloading, this is because you need to verify your contact record. When you create a new contact record, you must verify it in our system. To do this, we send you an email with a link that you can use to complete the verification. This email is sent to the registrant email address indicated on that contact record. If you do not have this email, you can request to have the Contact Record Whois Verification email resent from within your account.

  • How do I turn off my domain privacy?

Our domain privacy service replaces your personal contact information in the Whois database with ours, helping keep your information secure from spammers and scammers. To turn off your domain privacy, please follow these steps: Sign in to your Dynadot account. Select "My Domains" from the left-side menu bar and click "Manage Domains" in the drop-down. Check the box next to the domain name(s) whose privacy you wish to turn off and click on the "Bulk Action" button. Choose "Privacy Settings" from the "Bulk Action" list. Select "Off" in the drop-down menu. Press the "Save Settings" button to turn off domain privacy. Please be aware that it may take a few days for the Whois database to be updated to your altered Whois information. • Can I set up email forwarding if I am using stealth forwarding?

Yes! Stealth forwarding is completely separate from our email forwarding; the two do not have any effect on each other. For this reason, setting up your 10 free email aliases is no different whether you're using our name servers, forwarding your domain, or stealth forwarding your domain. Our email forwarding allows you to set up to 10 email addresses on your domain name, for example, [email protected] You can then have any email sent to your domain email addresses forwarded to an existing email address such as your Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or other email. Since the email is being forwarded, you cannot respond using your domain email. Unfortunately, it's not quite as "stealth" as your website using stealth forwarding.
