Wrong whois ownership verification email

I'm selling my domain on flippa but the Whois ownership verification email keeps getting sent to the wrong email address. I'm trying to make the WHOIS ownership verification email address mine but having issues. My domain contact info is correct but nothing is changing. if I could get step by step instructions on how to have my Domain ownership verified that would be helpful
