1. Initiating transfers into Dynadot 2. Unlcoking domains (and please don't say its for security, even Godaddy offers this and it isn't insecure! Using proper API security practices this is completely safe. If you are still concerned about it require users to opt into having this feature, or require the API call to include the birthdate used to unlock the account.) 3. Getting Authcodes (I see pushes are coming soon which would have been #4)
Interestingly enough, even though it seems you refuse to respond to this directly while looking though your API docs I notice in addition to Pushes marked as coming soon you have transfers and get_auth_code referenced in the docs and marked as coming soon. If you actually do this you will be 95% of the way there....now just give me the option to unlock a domain via the API.
There is no need to be rude to Dynadot, they are doing what they can and offer a great service. If you don't like Dynadot that much, why not switch to another registrar?
Idk how you think asking for an improved experience is being rude, or means I don't like Dynadot. On the contrary I do like them which is why I have spent so much on domains with them and want them to improve and as you can see from the replies, they have improved greatly in this regard.
Hi thank you very much for your feedback. I’ll make sure to pass your requests to our engineers and management as it’s up to them to decide which functions to implement.
Actually I must admit I am surprised. I notice within the get_transfer_auth_code endpoint you're adding you have the option to also unlock the domain, assuming prior arrangements have been made to enable that feature. Honestly that's good enough for me if I can get that enabled on my account. And it seems you also have a transfers endpoint as well now for transfers in. And according to support in a recent ticket it seems I might be able to start using those endpoints here even though they are still technically marked as "coming soon" on the API docs.
Not going to lie I had basically assumed this would never happen and am quite happy to see this!
