The video gaming community is both broad and diverse. The average age of a gamer is now 34 with 29% of players being over 50! Today, there a ton of great games to choose from, so since today is National Video Game Day, here are some of the games that we are playing right now! Maybe you will recognize some of these, or perhaps we can convince you to start playing:

Monster Hunter World:

This video game explores a new world where they have to fight off monsters and creatures to survive and gain new powers. The player is traveling to the "New World," an unpopulated land mass filled with monsters, to join the Research Commission that studies the land from their central command base of Astera. The Research Commission tasks the Hunter to hunt down and either kill or capture large monsters that roam outside Astera to both protect the Commission and to study the monsters there. This game has gotten a lot of great reviews in the video game world.

Fate/Grand Order:

In this game, the player takes on a role of "Master" who is in charge of a group called "Servants." These "Servants" are typically mythological figures from various cultures. One of our team members here at Dynadot shared her admiration for the game. She enjoys the character designs and simple and strategic card gameplay. One of her favorite features of this games is that it lets her show her dedication and favoritism to certain characters by leveling them up to their max potential.

Tekken Series:

This series is a fighting video game franchise that was first released in December of 1994. A fun fact about this game is that is the first fighting game at the time to use 3D animation. The basis of the game focuses on the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament. If the character in the game wins the fight, then he/she gets control of the company which also allows them to host the following tournament. This series was named the second best-selling fighting game to date.

Stardew Valley:

This video game follows a character who left an office job to run their deceased grandfather's farm in Stardew Valley. During the game, the character can grow crops, mine, fish, and cook to gain money and expand their farm. This game is a personal favorite of one of our team members here at Dynadot because it makes you interact with other characters in the game and it's fun growing crops throughout the different seasons.

Super Mario Bros.:

Who can forget about this classic? We certainly still rave about this famous popular game until this day. Super Mario Bros. first made its debut as an arcade game in the early 80s. It appeared on Nintendo in North America in the late 80s. The game follows the character Mario and his brother Luigi in their adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Princess Toadstool from Bowser. This game created a franchise for Super Mario, and it invited us into their world. Today you can find other games that include the same characters!
