Last weekend, Team Dynadot had the pleasure of attending LAUNCH Hackathon 2015 at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. The Hackathon features teams of two to four verified developers and designers who are given just 48 hours to come up with an awesome idea and code it up to present it for the chance to win prizes. The grand prize winner receives a $100,000 investment and a guaranteed spot on stage at LAUNCH Festival 2015. You can check out the video below that features 2013's winner, WizzyWig, who built a visual web editor that easily shows you your changes by dragging a bar across your screen.
This year's winners were just announced yesterday, with Abra, a payment app whose mission is to make cash mobile, taking the grand prize. Other winners include:
International Startup Award: Detectify
Best Design Award: One Drop
Best Hardware Award: Rise Robotics
Social Impact Award: Fiskkit
Best Demo Pit Company Award: Mix Max
Diamond in the Rough Award: Video Stitch
Best Hackathon Award: PreHire.io
Best B2B Award: Rescour
Incubator Award: Recurrency
2.0 Award: Fountain
You Dream It, We Build It Award: Player.me
Unilever Foundry Award: Little Bird
Congratulations to all of this year's winners!
Team Dynadot and .ME were excited to offer lots of prizes and give aways of our own at our sponsor booth. In addition to offering the hackers snacks and refreshments to keep them going day and night, we also had some fun and useful things at our booth including .ME screen cleaners, Return.me tags, and Dynadot sunglasses and T-shirts. One thing many attendees were excited to receive was a free .ME domain! We even had several attendees search for and register their .ME domain right at our table. And, we had a few teams use their free .ME domain for their project including Circl.me, who also used our Website Builder to feature their dating app.
Looking to get a .ME domain of your own? You're in luck because our $8.99 .ME sale is on now! Register your .ME and save - no coupon code is necessary, just search and buy .ME for less!
