.TV - Tuvalu's Gift to the World

TV Domain Sale - Tuvalu's Gift - London Olympics

Every four years I look forward to watching the Olympics. If you watched this year's opening ceremony, you may or may not have noticed the entrance of the tiny Oceanic island nation of Tuvalu, who sent three athletes to what was only their second trip to the Olympic games. I tell you all of this because if you were watching NBC's coverage in the US (unfortunately NBC is the only option here, so I'm not sure about the commentary of others) you probably heard them say that Tuvalu is known for its domain, .TV, which has become popular around the world.

The landing involved a new process that was seen as riskier than past landings and last night it was put to the test. The first pictures from Curiosity's historic journey were transmitted only minutes after it landed on the surface of Mars (one of which you can see to the right courtesy of NASA/JPL-Caltech).

Protect Yourself from Spam
with Dynadot Domain Privacy

Reduce Spam Email - Dynadot Domain Privacy

If you own a domain, ICANN, the non-profit organization that oversees the Internet, requires that your email address, mailing address, and phone number be made publicly available. This means your personal or business contact information is available for anyone - including spammers - to find via a Whois lookup. The Whois lookup is often used by spammers and junk mailers to create their mailing lists.
