Last Week's Answers

Easy: What company is the central registry of .COM, .NET, .CC, .NAME and .TV?
Reward: 10% off an order (up to $50 order total).

Answer: Verisign is the central registry of .COM, .NET, .CC, .NAME, and .TV.

Medium: What does it mean that Dynadot uses "proxy bidding" for our auctions?
Reward: 50% off a domain registration (.COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, or .XYZ).

Answer: Here's how proxy bidding works for our expired domain auctions:

If bidder A places a bid of $20 for domain X, our system will start his bid at $11.99 and bid up to $20 automatically on the bidder's behalf.

When bidder B visits the auction, he sees the current bid price as $11.99. If bidder B decides to place a bid for $13, he will be outbid immediately by bidder A, and the new minimum bid will be $14. In order to outbid the first bidder, he would need to bid at least $20.01.

If bidder B places a bid for $20, which matches bidder A's maximum bid amount, then bidder A would still be the high bidder, but the new minimum bid would be $21.00.

Hard: What are DynaPets, what kind do we have most of in the office, and what are (at least 3 of) their names?
Reward: 1 free domain registration (.NET, .ORG, .INFO, or .XYZ).

Answer: DynaPets are all of the pets of Dynadot staff. We LOVE them, and we bring our DynaDogs into the office almost every day. We have many DynaDogs, but some of them are: Leela, Gracie, Foxy, Zippy, and Tiger.

Thank you to all those who participated: we hope you're back for more! New players, check out game rules and regulations then play this round!

This Week's Trivia

Update to game rules (as of 2/10): No player can win two consecutive Trivia Tuesdays in a row. Any player who won the week before and answers correctly the next week will be disregarded - we want to have room for everyone to win!

Reward: $1 off an order.

Medium: Which 3 forms of payment do we suggest to pay for account credit?
Reward: 10% off an order (up to $50 order total).

Great job! We'll give you the first one, but our rules and regulations state you can only win one - please answer only one trivia next time! Thanks!
