This game is great for everyone, as we will have easy, medium, and hard difficulty questions that will earn you a different coupon each week! Read more to find out rules and restrictions, and to play in Dynadot's first ever Trivia Tuesday, and get our extra special discounts now!

About Trivia Tuesday

Each week we will post a blog that has our three domain and/or Dynadot related trivia questions. The game consists of three questions ranging in difficulty (easy, medium, hard), and each question will earn a coupon code or discount that is good for one time use. The questions' answers may be found on the Dynadot website, or may be general knowledge that can be found through good ol' Google.

Rules & Restrictions

  1. The first person to answer the question correctly will receive the offer. To answer the question comment on the blog post.
  2. Rewards are limited to one per person - each customer may answer correctly and receive the reward for one question only.
  3. The answer must be posted before the next Trivia Tuesday post.
UPDATE (As of 2/10/15): No player can win two consecutive Trivia Tuesdays in a row. Any player who won the week before and answers correctly the next week will be disregarded - we want to have room for everyone to win!

Are you ready?! Here we go! Today's Trivia Tuesday questions are:

Easy: What is Dynadot's mission statement?
Reward: 50% off a select domain (.COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, or .XYZ)

Medium: What was the first domain name ever registered?
Reward: 1 free domain (.COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, or .XYZ)

Medium: The first domain to be registered was Nordu.net on January 1, 1985 (by the registry nic.nordu.net - the first internet rootserver). This makes it the oldest registered domain name, older than symbolics.com which registered on March 15, 1985: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_oldest_currently_registered_Internet_domain_names

Actually, Nordu.net was the first created domain (it was created before the "registration" process was), which does make it the oldest domain, but Symbolics.com is the first domain to actually be registered through the appropriate DNS process. http://techcrunch.com/2009/08/27/25-years-later-first-registered-domain-name-changes-hands/
