1. Washington DC
No one does a national holiday quite like Washington D.C. They host the National Memorial Day Parade, which is the largest of its kind in the U.S. The streets will be filled with active and retired servicemen and servicewomen, marching bands, floats, and music. To honer those who sacrificed themselves for our country, you can head over to hear the powerful tribute at Arlington National Cemetery where a quarter million mini flags will decorate the cemetery’s headstones.
