That's right, as of today, Berlin is the first city to have it's own domain - .BERLIN! .BERLIN is now available for general registration, making it the first domain extension to represent a city. As you know, the countries of the world are all assigned a ccTLD or a country code top level domain, such as Germany's .DE, but until now there were no domain extensions that corresponded to cities and only a few that served an area other than a country such as the European Union's .EU and Asia's .ASIA. Although Berlin is soon to be joined by cities including New York (.NYC), London (.LONDON), and Vienna (.WIEN), for now .BERLIN is the only one open for registration!

.BERLIN ist fur alle Berliner! (Berlin is for all Berliners!) If you live in Berlin, now is a great time to take advantage of this new TLD! Since it's newly released, there are plenty of opportunities to get the domain name you really want! Whether you're starting a new website on .BERLIN or simply protecting your brand by registering the domain name of your established website on .BERLIN, now is the time!

For businesses, .BERLIN is a great way to get your business online and show off that you're local to your target customer base. For Berliners looking to start a personal website or blog, .BERLIN is a great way to show off your Berlin pride and you'll have more opportunity to find the domain name you really want. Become a part of history and register .BERLIN - the first official city domain that's just for you!
