In 2014 the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) introduced a new delegation of generic top-level domains (gTLDs). From domain names focused on industry specific communities to regional TLDs that meet people where they are, there is now unprecedented variety in the domain name market, the likes of which not seen since the early days of domain names in 1980âs. This is especially remarkable when you consider that there are now over 300 million domain names registered in the world today!
