Expired Domain Auctions Added!
1/15/2008 15:33
We've recently added expired domain auctions to the marketplace.  These auctions remain open for 7 days.  The renewal fee for these expired domains is included in your auction bid.  You will need an order history with at least 1 successful payment in the last 365 days before you may place a bid.

Please note that the winning bidder must submit payment within 48 hours of the auction end time.  When the domain is pushed into the winning bidder's account, the domain will remain in an "auction lock" status for about 30 days.

If you have any questions or comments about this new feature, please feel free to let us know on this forum thread or through email.

Good news.

"Please note that the winning bidder must submit payment within 48 hours of the auction end time."

Do you send a notofication. It would be necesasary.

"You will need an order history with at least 1 successful payment in the last 365 days before you may place a bid."

Does it concern payments from the account balance ?

It would be good that users could add their own domians to such live auction, because not too many people serach normal domains offers on the marketplace, because there are too many domains, but they will serach the expired domains list. A price also could contain the renewal fee. It would be really the great option.

Thank you for the feedback.

>Do you send a notofication. It would be necesasary.

Yes we do.

>Does it concern payments from the account balance ?

No, the order history payment would need to be an outside payment method: PayPal, credit card, Moneybookers, etc...

We are also considering auctions for users. Any feedback on that would also be appreciated.

Perhaps it would be good to make the list available in csv format so we don't have to browse through the site (needle in a haystack).

Ok, we have added your suggestion for a csv file download to our feature request list for future consideration.

It would be good to add some information about domains. For example PR, links, last archive or others. But one thing is really necessary. It is a date when a domain was registered. Because many domains are only registered for few days to check a traffic.

Bids in expired domain auctions include the renewal fee.  This is mentioned in the Notes area when you place a bid on an expired domain auction.  You need to be logged into your Dynadot account to view the Notes section, though.

Ok, I have added your suggestion to our feature request list.
