Domain Tasting Death in 2008
2/11/2008 09:13
Hi Dynadot staff,

it's now set in stone that ICANN will charge a fee for registering a domain even it is being deleted within the 5 day grace period.

What will dynadot do in that case? And do you have any information when that will happen?

Thanks,
Bill

I am interested myself.  I don't mind paying a quarter per delete but would like a date for when this may start.

Yes,

A date would really help.

When will the fees be in effect for our account's grace?

Thanks

If ICANN charges their transaction fee for all domains, even grace deleted domains, then we would have to charge for grace deletions also. Unfortunately, I do not know when that will happen.

Hi dynadot staff,

thanks for getting back.

So the policy will basically be to pass on the ICANN charge?

That's good news - I was afraid you might completely disable the grace period. As far as I know it will be a $0.20 charge per grace deleted domain.

I'm not really happy about that, but I'll be able to handle it.

Long Live Dynadot!
Bill
