Most domains can be grace deleted within 5 days of registration. You can request a grace deletion from the control panel in the account area. We will give a Dynadot account credit for the full purchase amount minus the deletion fee. This credit can be used for future orders. ICANN limits the deletion rate for the gtlds (non country tlds such as .COM, .NET, .ORG, etc.). .IN domains also have this limit. If the 'Curr Rate' field is close the the 'Max Rate' field, your grace deletion may not be processed. If this happens, you have to keep the domain

Limitations on WS Grace Deletions

GDI, the WS central registry, has a different accounting system than other registrars. There is a special case if a domain is registered at the end of the current month, and then deleted at the start of the next month. If this happens, then the domain cannot be registered again until around the 10th of the next month. WS domains 3 characters or less will be charged higher grace deletion fees (~10% of the registration cost).

Additional Details

• Most grace deletions are processed in a few minutes unless there is a maximum deletion rate for that TLD or domains on the waiting list. Sometimes registry errors will also cause delays.
• Our ability to grace delete any domains depends solely on how many domains we register per month versus the number of domains we grace delete for that month. If the deletion rate is already at its maximum deletion rate, there is a possibility that your domain will not be deleted.
• Our system will make every attempt to fulfill a grace deletion request, but you will have to keep the domain if it is not deleted.
• Domains with privacy may take longer to grace delete.
• Domains that have been renewed cannot be grace deleted.
