Over the years, we’ve made countless changes to our key services, platform, and our brand - including adjustments visible to our customers and optimizations we continuously make in the background. While we do share larger updates on our blog, we thought it’d be helpful to pull together some of the more noticeable additions and upgrades we’ve made over the last quarter to keep you in the loop.
Going forward, we‘ll continue releasing these quarterly updates going over new product launches, TLD releases, general features added to Dynadot, and more. Let’s jump into changes from the first quarter of 2024.
Reseller Program Launch
We’ve officially launched our Domain Reseller Program for any businesses or brands that want to infuse domain registration and management directly into their platform. While those who were eager may know that our reseller program has been live before Q1, we’ve since expanded our services to have an official launch. Our reseller program now has an integrated storefront that makes it easy to set up domain registrations on your website while also allowing your customers to manage their domains as well.

Fred Zou - Domain Reseller Program Manager: Our customers have been asking for a Dynadot reseller program since the very beginning, and now we have the resources and experience to push in that direction. Our competitive pricing fits naturally in the reseller market, and, when combined with our other tools/services, it just made sense for us to create a program that allows businesses to use our backend to help them expand their own service offerings.
Cryptocurrency Launch
To expand our payment option offerings, we’ve integrated BitPay into our platform, which allows Dynadot purchases to be made using a wide variety of cryptocurrency coins using BitPay's secure, smooth payment processing platform. BitPay also supports a large number of wallets, so if you’re big on crypto and would prefer paying using that platform, make sure to give it a try. In order to pay using crypto, you must have USD selected as your currency type.
David Archwamety - VP of Operations: We’ve had multiple customer requests to support crypto payments, and I’m pleased to announce that we have added it in Q1. Through our processing partner, Bitpay, we can now accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and many others. We are always looking for opportunities to serve customers anywhere in the world, and crypto helps us achieve this goal as it is a global payment method.
Registry Lock
If enhanced domain security on your most prized domain names is of high importance to you, our new registry lock system will help keep your domains extra secure. This tool enables an additional layer of protection on any .COM, .NET, or .CC domains that you want to add protection for. This is done by placing a lock on the domain name at the Registry level, which will greatly reduce the risks that can occasionally occur, such as unapproved domain transfers, unwanted DNS adjustments, and even domain hijacking. If you’re interested, you can add this new level of security to your domains at checkout or apply a Registry lock when you’re managing your domain names in your control panel.
Todd Han - CEO of Dynadot: I knew we needed to add registry-lock to our system when a domain investor mentioned that his insurance company gives him a discount if he registry-locks his super premium domains. We’re always looking for opportunities to add features that benefit and add value to our customers, even outside of their experience on our platform.
Other Changes
Along with the larger changes above, we’re frequently making smaller adjustments to add quality of life changes or add new features requested by our customers. Here are some of the highlights from this year so far:
Linking Your Dynadot and Paypal Accounts
You can now connect your PayPal account directly to your Dynadot account, allowing users to make PayPal payments without having to log into their PayPal account. You can manage your PayPal accounts attached to your account in your user control panel, under the ‘Payments’ section. You can also make auto-renewal payments by assigning your PayPal account as the renewal payment.
Website Builder User Interface Updates
We’ve made adjustments to our entire user interface for our website builder. This included a wide variety of quality of life changes to make engaging with our tools more streamlined, while also visually changing the structure of our website builder interface to a newer, sleeker design. Be sure to check out the new styling interface by creating your website using one of our many handcrafted templates.
Updated For-Sale Pages
Our for-sale landing page got a revamp, making minor adjustments to the information displayed on our optimized page, ensuring that the most important information is emphasized and displayed. We also added the ability to place custom descriptions or AI-generated descriptions to your for-sale landing page to encourage engagement and sales.
Payoneer Added as Payment Option
Payoneer has also been added to our roster of payment options, which adds yet another quick and easy method of completing transactions on our platform.
Help File Feedback
Our help files are a vast resource for finding information about how to accomplish specific tasks on the Dynadot platform. We’ve integrated a new feature that allows customers to let us know if a specific help file was helpful or unhelpful. We use this to ensure that the information we provide is both helpful and accurate, so please let us know by using the buttons at the bottom of our help file pages to provide us with feedback.
